MESSERSCHMITT, Guillows 1:16, 24in. Wing Span Balsa Wood Kit # 401
"I can say that Guillows produce the simplest kits (Series 600, 700and 900) which are ideal for beginners, say aged 10 onwards, and take between 12 and 16 hours to build, and with a little care can be flown successfully with the rubber motor provided. I think it is a great creative hobby and becomes more interesting and challenging as you progress through the series".
As a retailer, we can't think of a better recommendation than that of one of our own customers. Barrie is one of our veteran builders and below we show the result from this kit and others (by clicking on the Link). We quote with Barrie's permission.

Barrie goes on to say, "It must be difficult to try and encourage new customers to this kind of hobby especially when only specialist hobby shops sell Guillows kits. I started constructing balsa planes in the late 1940's and carried on through most of the 1950's. In those days I used Kiel-Kraft mainly. For many youngsters then, balsa modelling was almost as popular as Meccano. How times change!"
